After the furious winds of the last few days, a calm, mild day made a welcome change. Tired of being cooped up indoors, I went to visit the seaside.
Uncommonly calm, the waves gently lapped the shores. No swimmers braved the cold, despite the water’s enticing appearance. Scarcely a soul walked on the sands.
On the promenade, however, it was another story. Young and old, and those in between, made the most of the day. What a charming variety of dogs accompanied so many of them.
Add sea-gulls, black birds, swallows, pigeons, and Corellas, and that’s it. A Botany Bay foreshore beach-side scene. Where else would you see such diversity?
