Here we are, Chicki and me, down by the river.
It’s a beautiful day: the cockatoos are rejoicing, the swallows are swooping, the ducks are swimming (and waddling here and there). As if from nowhere, a lone stilt suddenly appears.
Green after rain, shrubs and trees are blossoming. Clear water laps onto the yellow sands: the muddy depths are undisturbed. Little fish swarm near the surface.
Along the promenade, a small stream of walkers: many accompanied by their four-legged friends: passes by. Here and there, visitors pause to rest, and take in the view.
Don’t we live in a wonderful part of this incredible world?

Awesome picture, I would enjoy this scenery any day, any time. It’s great to know you’re making great use of it Margaret. Enjoy 🙂
Thanks, Jeanette! It’s a very beautiful area!
Beautiful, Margaret!
Thanks, Lorelei! I spend part of most days, here. You never know what you’ll see…
Hi Margaret,
it’s good to see you down by your lovely river. I hope this means you’ve finally thrown off that dreadful flu!
it looks such a lovely spot, and when I saw Chicki I couldn’t believe how much he looks like my little dogLucy that we have sadly lost.
Take care and keep writing
Cheers
Kate
Thanks, Kate. Chicki’s a girl: her full name is Chicki Rose.:)
Unfortunately. I’m very sick at present with another flu-like virus.
Writing will have to wait, I’m afraid.
Keep up your marvellous efforts!
It looks like a perfect day!
Lovely day in a lovely place!
Thanks for your comment.:)
