Smiling Cockatoo

I cannot help but think that this cockatoo is smiling.

His cheeky grin seems to lighten up the scene.

(I know that there’s more than one bird in the photo, but I’m guessing you’ll recognise it.)

It’s lovely to live so near to where these beautiful birds hang out.

Looks like he may have spotted something the others haven’t noticed yet.

If he’s not smiling for the camera, then
I’m guessing – he’s like, “Wanna hear a dirty joke?”

Could be – that’s the grin of someone who
did something he shouldn’t of done, and didn’t get caught.

    Personally, I like his head-gear / hair-lick 🙂

🙂 🙂 Well, Keith, if you like his head-gear, you should see it when it’s fully displayed!! I’ll try to get a photo but you’ve got to be quick!

They are so cute with that tuft of feathers sticking up. Makes me happy just to see them.

The other two look like corellas. Nice photo. 🙂

I think you’re right, Linda! The photo was taken at Ramsgate where there often are plenty of both! 🙂

Nice photo! A childhood friend of mine had one of these as a pet. His name was Zaytoon (Olive in Arabic) because of his black beak. He was a noisy character, but we loved his enthusiastic whistle. Birds can definitely have a lot of personality!
