The view from the track

Every now and then I take Chicki for a walk along this high track in the nearby bushland park. It makes a refreshing change to see the scene from this perspective.

The virtue of this  river view lies chiefly in the beauty that the native trees and shrubs provide as a frame for the expanse of water. Here, the Gum Trees that Australia is known for are on display, and in the main are very healthy-looking. One can also catch a glimpse of the distant mangroves.
