Seagulls on the Shore

I guess most people associate sea-gulls with the seaside, but they are a common sight in our river baths, albeit in small numbers.

I’m sure that enough picnickers  supply them with tasty morsels that the birds’ continued presence is assured.

Watching their antics can be quite amusing. They are great posers, and let one know what mood they are in.

Here’s a pair enjoying the little beach.

So pretty, Lynette! Makes me want to be there walking on the sand with the birds! 🙂

Like a leisurely Sunday morning stroll wind in wing. It’s surprising a pretty beach is so uncrowded.

It generally is, David, except sometimes on brilliant Summer Sundays. 🙂 xxx Huge Hugs xxx

It’s amazing how many I can see being 3 hours from the sea. I often wonder if they miss the ocean and just can’t find their way back.

Yes, I’ve seen your photos of the seagulls in the parking lots, Odie. Maybe they are content to live where they can find food…though honestly I have never seen them far from water here in Sydney. 🙂
