A Silver Gull and a Little Pied Cormorant

An odd pair…or maybe not.

Birds of a feather flock together: so the old saying goes.

Though this so often holds true, it’s still fairly common to see different species quite close together.

Hope you enjoy this photograph, which was taken on Sydney’s Georges River.

The bird of the hour is on his last leg. Oh, my!
She’s being all standoffish — staring at the sky.

πŸ˜‰ Cute couple! They’ll figure it out, somehow or other…

Why do I get the idea that the Cormorant is being a bit aloof and the Gull wants to join the party but can only look on ?
    Hope you’re OK Margaret

Thanks for your wishes. Hope you’re well, too.

What always amazes me is seeing a bird like the one on the left that appears to be balanced on one leg that is so thin compared to the rest of him. Amazing creatures
