One of the unforeseen benefits of having budgerigars as pets is the bonus of seeing other birds around. Outside, Albert and Victoria seem to attract other visitors, but none more welcome than these peaceful doves. These sweet birds come close to the budgies’ cage, gobbling up any wasted seed. But their favourite spot seems to be the pot-plants where, routinely, I tip the dregs of the seed-bowl.
Enjoy!

I have a bird feeder where I tend to empty end left over pellets and seeds from my parrots for the birds but they don’t tend to hang around for too long because Dexter takes great joy in chasing them away ( strange because he doesn’t worry about my parrots being out or flying around the house, only the birds outside).
π My budgies don’t seem to mind the Spotted Doves, though they don’t like the Noisy Miners (which incidentally don’t bother with the seeds).
Such pretty birds.

looks like it is busy searching for something π
It’s probably after some budgie seed. π
I like to watch the birds π
