Here we have a scene uncommon in the local baths:Australian Wood  Ducks and White-faced Herons, together.

In my experience, this is a rare event.

    Maybe it’s a bit like the Churches Margaret, they’re holding an annual conclave of some sort. Or maybe they’e deciding on costumes for the Ugly Bugs Ball. Nice to see them together though.

    Ducks and Herons (not the same as the ones in your photo though) are in the thousands right now where I am (the Philippines). Gotta love the migratory season 🙂

      Wow! I’ve never seen more than two Herons in the baths at once, and maybe a dozen ducks (including ducklings).
