Focus on Birds: Little Black Cormorant

Little Black Cormorant

Little Black Cormorant

Now and then I see the Little Black Cormorants  flying, diving or paddling on the river. Sometimes they come to rest on the swimming bath’s shark-proof netting.

Their speed in the water is breathtaking, but it seems that they don’t like to stay wet indefinitely, since this little guy has spread his wings out to dry.

Enjoy!

Oh Oh, I’m so far behind today. The little cormorant looks like one of those stealth planes ready to zoom off at impossible speeds. Pretty little birds.

I am fascinated by cormorants – or at least, the ones used by fishermen. Though even on their own, they seem like such ancient and unique birds.

They are very interesting birds. I see three different types on the river. Thanks for commenting 🙂
