It isn’t every day that I spot a pair of Australian Wood Ducks paddling on the river.
But when I do, it’s cause for delight.
Here’s a photo of such a pair, doing their thing in less than still water.
Enjoy!

There’s something special about the sight of parents with their offspring: particularly with something as sweet as ducks and ducklings.
This photo of a family of Australian Wood Ducks was taken in the local swimming baths. It’s quite uncommon to see little ones, though their elders are a common sight.
Enjoy!

One of my most-loved hobbies is watching the birds that gather in the park.
While the Parrots are very engaging, I am equally happy to watch the water-birds as they go about their day to day activities.
Here is a scene taken at the local baths in suburban Sydney, Australia. It show a White-faced Heron that has strutted past a pair of Australian Wood Ducks .

Off we go…
Moments after this image had been captured, this pair of Australian Wood Ducks took the plunge.
These ducks are less common around the park than the Chestnut Teals. Like the Teals, they are often found in pairs.
It’s a delight to watch their interactions.
