A Winter Sunset in Suburban Sydney, Australia
WordPress tells me my download space is all but used up. Some of you already know about my other blogs. They are mentioned in previous posts.
So, in the event that this is it *for here*, I thought I’d chose something appropriate: a winter sunset…
It’s only in winter that we in Sydney are treated to such wonderful colours. This is a view from a street near our home.
In Sydney, lovers of sunsets must surely relish Winter. This is the time for spectacular colours and equally spectacular patterns in the late afternoon sky.
I hope that you enjoy this example.
As Evening Comes
As evening comes, the sky so often takes on such interesting colours and patterns. Though this is not the usual yellow-orange hued sky of sunset, it nevertheless has a special charm.

Here in Sydney it’s that time of year : the sunsets are coming into their own.
The cooler weather brings with it the potential for delightfully coloured skies, as darkness begins to fall.
This photograph was take near our home in Sydney’s southern suburbs.
As Darkness Begins to Fall
On this day, as darkness begins to fall, a sense of its rare beauty permeates me. Most evenings I’m indoors at this time, and often I can only glimpse its beauty through the windows.
So it comes as an unmissable opportunity to capture this quiet image.
Sunsets fascinate me. When clouds are around, no two sunsets are identical. That’s my (non-expert) opinion, at least. 🙂
While the winter ones are generally more spectacular, sometimes we are lucky enough to see a more quietly beautiful prelude to night-time in other seasons.
A Sunset in Sydney
When there are clouds around, every sunset is different. Mother nature has a knack of crowning the end of day with a triumphant display of awe-inspiring beauty, especially in winter.
I never grow tired of sunsets, and I hope you share my feelings…
